Sound Percussion Drum Set Review

Buy the Sound Percussion Drum SetReview Summary: The Sound Percussion 5-piece drum set features heavy duty tom mounts and double-braced hardware for a super low price.  Drums, cymbals and hardware that complement each other to sound great!

Pros: A great price for a full size drum set. The price includes drum shells, hardware and cymbals. Standard-sized drums with durable, double-braced hardware.

Cons: The price is low because you will need to purchase cymbals, a drum throne and an extra cymbal stand separately. Also, the lower-quality drum heads are not as durable and do not have the best sound quality.

Likes:

The Cost - Anytime you can get a complete, full-size drum set for $500, it's a bargain.

Sturdy Hardware - This kit comes with durable and sturdy hardware.  The stands are double braced for stability but lightweight for ease of transport. The tom mounts have memory locks to help you remember how the toms were positioned so that setting up is quick and easy.

Wood Snare Drum - The Sound Percussion drum set has a matching wood shell snare drum for a warm, deep sound.

Nice Sound - The standard-sized drums help this set sound good at any volume.

Dislikes:

Cost does not include all hardware - All drummers want at least one ride cymbal and one crash cymbal.  This set comes with one cymbal stand instead of two.  The second stand (and the drum throne) must be purchased separately.

Drumheads - To keep costs from getting too high, low quality drumheads are used on the Sound Percussion drum set. These heads will not last long and will not sound as good as name-brand heads, such as, Remo.  The good news is that you can buy replacement heads when necessary.

Conclusion:

This drum kit is a great first set for someone on a budget.  The drums sound good, the hardware is durable and you can't beat the price!
