The Cost - This is one of the lowest prices you'll pay for a full-size, all-inclusive drum set. This set even includes a pair of drumsticks!
Sturdy Hardware - This kit comes with durable and sturdy hardware. The stands are double braced for stability but lightweight for ease of transport. The bass drum pedal has a chain drive between the foot board and the beater which has quicker response than a leather strap.
A Variety of Colors - Most drum sets in this price category offer one or two colors. Percussion Plus offers four colors: Sky Blue, Midnight Blue, Wine Red and Black.
9-ply cross-laminated wood shells - 9-plys of hardwood veneer mean thicker, deeper-sounding drums. Cross-laminated shells are glued together with the seams for each ply at different places to ensure that the drums resonate better. These drums have a deep, resonating sound.
Missing One Cymbal - To keep costs from getting too high, the Percussion Plus has only one 16" crash/ride cymbal. Most drum sets will have a second, larger (say, 18") cymbal that is used as a "ride" cymbal (that is, a cymbal that can be played steadily instead of just crashed).
This is a great first set for a drummer on a budget. Percussion Plus has good drum shell construction and sturdy hardware. This kit sounds good and looks great. You will save money and have a lot fun playing this set!
